Contributions and Accomplishments made for Lower Corentyne Secondary School
1. Microwave Oven: $100.00 donated by Kris Lachman
2. Refrigerator: $500.00 donated by Sabita Shivpersaud and Chandrawattie Balram ($250.00 each)
3. Copier, printer and fax machine: $200.00 donated by Radha Bernstein
4. Stationary Supplies: Donated by Indranie Chabinauth (Eno) and Savitri Solomon
5. Utensils for use in Home Economics Dept: Donated by Savitri Solomon and facilitated by Kris Lachman who was in Guyana for the Cricket World Cup
6. Computer Lab Project: $2,000.00 donated by Harnauth Rupnarine and the Class of 1980. This project was spearheaded by Harnauth. An agreement was reached between Harnauth and Metro (a private education foundation) where by Harnauth would fund the building for a computer lab and Metro would furnish the computers. Both these goals were met.
7. School Improvement Project: $2,500.00 An LCGSS Alumni Association financed project undertaken by Riaz Bacchus who voluntarily spent 3 months at LCGSS. Classrooms that were flooding were raised by pouring about 8 inches of concrete. Both the boys and girls toilets were repaired. Plumbing work was done to make possible running water to the Home Economics Dept. and to the Teacher and Staff Room. Purchasing of curtains for Form 4B for blocking the glare of the sunlight in the classroom were also installed.
8. Graduation 2008: $550.00 Class of 2008 graduation ceremony was made possible by a $50.00 donation from each of the following alumni and a well wisher:

9. Website: Special thanks and acknowledgement to Krishna Corinaldesi the webmaster, who volunteered his time all the way from London UK , son of Alumni Marcella McWilliams.
$550.00 was contributed by Radha and Howard Bernstein for the website expenses and development.
10. Book Project: $2,000.00 Headmaster and teachers were asked to compile a list of books that are urgently needed. An order was placed with Austins Book Store in Georgetown Guyana and an invoice was sent to LCGSS-AA. Payment was made by LCGSS via Bank Check. The Headmaster, Mr. Imran Ally uplifted the books. A formal presentation was held where Bhanumattie Hemraj who was in Guyana made a few remarks on behalf of LCGSS-AA. The following is a list of the contributors to the book project:
