1) Computer lab:
a) A very nice job was done on the room by the government and 16 complete computers were installed.
b) Ms. Odessa Davis took over as HOD and things are running well. Pamie informs a white board is needed which we will consider funding.
c) A TV has been installed in the adjoining room which is used for students and faculty
d) Egovernance maintains the computers and the internet service is free now
2) Home EC lab is doing well and is an important teaching tool. Everything we supplied is still in place. A new HOD has been in place and a refrigerator is needed, which we will consider funding
3) Money is being raised locally by cake sales and raffles to pay for various things in the school and there is a PTA but only 75 out of 350 parents are active.
4) Scholarship: Pamie informed us what happened to the student we funded for her first year at Univ of Guyana
5) Playground: The town Mayor will ask official permission from the Ministry of Housing in GT if the school can use the adjacent land for gardens and playgrounds, after receiving a formal request from the school. The current owner of that property is not paying any taxes. Pamie will follow up on issuing a request letter from the school
6) We agreed to send Pamie $400.00 for the following:
a) To help fund International Womens Day celebrations which involve many female students in a positive way
b) Start off a Footware Fund for those students that can not afford shoes making them absent from school
7) The new HM is Mr. Narine Datt Dhanraq who started in June of 2018
